Privacy Policy
Effective July 12, 2026
RZK Precious Metals and Rare Coins LLC (“RZK,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the RZK website, buyer accounts, live auction room, and exchange (collectively, the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By creating an account or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to the practices described here.
In short: we collect the information needed to open your account, verify your identity as required by law, process payments and shipments, and keep the Platform secure. We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers and regulators necessary to run a compliant precious-metals business.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you give us directly
- Account information: full name, email address, password, phone number, and date of birth.
- Shipping & billing address: street address, city, state, and ZIP code used to deliver purchases and process payments.
- Identity verification information: government-issued photo ID and optional selfie images you upload for RZK staff review, to satisfy Know Your Customer (“KYC”) obligations described in our AML Policy. Documents are stored in a private vault accessible only to authorized personnel.
- Payment information: depending on the method you choose, this may include card details, bank account and routing numbers for ACH, or wire-transfer confirmation details. Card data for Exchange checkout is collected and stored by our payment partner (currently Square), not on our own servers.
- Communications: messages you send us through support, email, or the early-access form, including the content of those messages.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Device & usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring URLs, and timestamps.
- Cookies & similar technologies: used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
- Bidding & transaction activity: lots viewed, bids placed, purchases made, order history, and auction-room activity.
1.3 Information from third parties
- Identity-verification results and fraud/risk signals from our verification provider.
- Payment status and chargeback/dispute information from our payment processor.
- Sanctions- and watchlist-screening results from screening providers, as described in our AML Policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect to:
- Create and administer your buyer account, and authenticate you when you sign in.
- Verify your identity and age (18+) and screen against government sanctions and watchlists, as required by federal law applicable to dealers in precious metals.
- Process payments, prevent fraud, and manage chargebacks or payment disputes.
- Fulfill orders — package and ship coins and bullion to the address you provide, and provide order tracking and support.
- Operate the live auction room and exchange, including recording bids, enforcing bidding rules, and closing lots.
- Comply with our recordkeeping, reporting, and monitoring obligations under the Bank Secrecy Act and related anti-money-laundering (“AML”) laws (see our AML Policy).
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms.
- Send you transactional communications (order confirmations, auction alerts, account and security notices) and, where you have opted in, marketing communications about new lots, listings, or features.
- Improve and maintain the Platform, including troubleshooting and analytics.
- Comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests from courts and regulators, and enforce our agreements.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers: payment processing (Square), database and account infrastructure (Supabase), spot-price data providers, shipping and logistics carriers, email/communications providers, and hosting/analytics providers — each bound by contract to use your information only to provide services to us. Identity documents are reviewed by authorized RZK personnel.
- Regulators & law enforcement: where required to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act, FinCEN regulations, court orders, subpoenas, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RZK, our customers, or the public.
- Professional advisors: our accountants, auditors, and legal counsel, on a need-to-know basis.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
- With your consent: for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect the information, or with your explicit consent.
4. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform. Identity-verification records, transaction records, and related documentation are retained for a minimum of five (5) years from the date the record was created, consistent with our recordkeeping obligations under the Bank Secrecy Act and our AML Policy, even if you close your account sooner. We may retain and use information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
5. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reliance on PCI-compliant payment processors so that full card numbers never touch our servers. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted to or stored on the Platform.
6. Your Rights and Choices
- Access & correction: you can review and update most account information by signing in, or by contacting us.
- Marketing opt-out: you can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any such email. You will still receive transactional and legally required communications.
- Deletion: you may request deletion of your account information, subject to our right (and, in many cases, legal obligation) to retain identity-verification and transaction records for the retention period described above.
- State privacy rights: depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar state laws, including the right to know, delete, or correct personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal information). To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
7. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed to individuals under 18. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, bid in auctions, or make purchases. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have done so, we will delete it.
8. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to operate sign-in and security features. Those cookies are required for the Platform to work and cannot be declined. With your consent, we may also use optional cookies or similar technologies for analytics (for example, anonymous page-view counts). You can Accept or Decline optional cookies via the notice on the site; we store that choice so we do not ask on every visit. Declining optional cookies does not affect your ability to sign in. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not function properly without necessary cookies.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Effective” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through a notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
